15 Ways to show support to the Chamber!

The Sikh American Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization, is committed to the development of Sikh Entrepreneurs in our community. It’s a great forum for those of us that are already entrepreneurs, and those that would like to touch base with industry leaders, to help develop and empower the Sikh Business Community.

1. Become a member of your chamber – it’s tax deductable and its money well spent.
2. If you’re already a member, run for the Board!
3. Enourage other businesses and your vendors to join.
4. Volunteer to help with chamber events (very important).
5. Go to meetings. Your attendance helps push the success rate of future events.
6. Support other chamber members’ businesses and thank them for being part of the chamber.
7. Network with other chamber members with complimentary businesses.
8. Take your business needs to your chamber board and ask for them to consider researching or adding services you need. Things like: Asking to hold a specific business skills development workshop at a reduced cost
9. Offer your skills and expertise to other businesses in town through a presentation for your chamber.
10. Link to your chamber’s web site on your own web site.
11. Link to other chamber members.
12. Hold a chamber mixer at your business. Increase your exposure while helping grow the chamber!
13. Advocate for you chamber at City Council meetings. Keep the chamber on your City Council’s agenda when it comes time to distribute funding.
14. Send a letter to the editor in your local newspaper talking up what your chamber does for your town.
15. Thank your chamber board often for their service to your town and business community.
